Easter Weekend

Friday, we took the boys into the city centre, which is our default family activity. The Winter Garden and the area around the Crucible are already configured for the Snooker World Championship. We took a trip to the Moor to get Noah some more jeans, given that he insists of scuffing the knees on all trousers. The new cinema/shopping centre has finally opened - very impressive. Shiny. Saturday, we took the boys to Monkey Bizness - Soft Play Centre. Much exhausting fun was had by all. I managed to get a good hour of scribbling done, too.
Saturday: We took the boys took the boys to Rother Valley Park, given that it has a mini train line, a pretty good playground, and some handsome man-made lakes. It took me back to my occasional attempts at windsurfing, many years ago. Sunday: Clara took Noah to George's birthday party, at Castaway Cove. I took Leo to the swimming baths, which he barely tolerated. Leo: "Don't like! Don't LIKE!" Sketches: I completed another round of ship drawings, deciding on the depiction of the Andrew Bolton-class Cruiser, along with its Gordon-class sloops.

Weekend on daddy duty

Nice weekend, looking after the boys as Clara worked an early shift on Saturday and a long day on Sunday. Saturday: Soft play at Hillsborough, followed by lunch at Mcdonalds and a quick scoot around Morrisons for dinner ingredients. We then went to Grandma's for an hour. I made Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. More sketches for the Terran Republic Evening: The Division with the team and some Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Sunday: Endcliffe Park, Brunch in the cafe. Best bacon, sausage and tomato sandwich ever made. In fact, they should build a statue of the sandwich to commemorate the event. We then took a bus to the city centre for the usual walked around/ playing in the Winter garden and Peace garden. Evening: Yet more sketches for the Terran Republic. Then, more time in the Division and some more Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
